The typical Greek wrap was the himation, a rectangular woolen shawl measuring 2m x 3m that was wrapped around the body, leaving the right arm free, as desired. However, in most cases, the himation was a smaller undergarment called exõmis, pinned over both or just one shoulder and secured to the torso with a belt. Also, on special occasions such as festivals, the longer chiton was worn as a tunic.
