Movie company

Japanese: 映画企業 - えいがきぎょう
Movie company

...When the multi-screen method was first developed, it made a great impression as it freed film from the conventional notion of a single screen and heralded a future cinematic format in which the most complex and advanced temporal and spatial montages would be possible by dynamically utilizing multiple screens, and it was soon adopted as a technique in commercial theatrical films. However, in the end it was merely a method of dividing a single screen into two or three, and multi-screen in this sense had already been attempted in the silent film era, in films such as Abel Gance's Napoleon (1927). (Incidentally, Napoleon was also the first successful attempt at enlarging the screen and multiplexing the images by using the so-called "triple ecrin," that is, three screens lined up together and projected with three projectors.)
[How the film industry works]

[Film company]
It is synonymous with the film industry or film business, but in Japan, the word "company" is most commonly used, and there is also the term "in-house director" (a director who has a contract with a film company). A film begins with "planning" and goes through three stages: "production," "distribution," and "exhibition" to complete its life.
