Uranium series - Uranium series

Also known as the uranium-radium series. A series of decays of naturally occurring radioactive nuclides (radioactive decay series). It begins with uranium-238 (also known as uranium I, abbreviated as UI), goes through eight alpha decays and six beta decays, and ends with the stable lead isotope lead-206 (also known as radium G, abbreviated as RaG). Its mass number is 4n +2 ( n is a positive integer). Radium-226 belongs to this series. ウラン-ラジウム系列ともいう。天然放射性核種の崩壊系列 (放射性崩壊系列 ) の1つ。ウラン 238 (ウランI ともいう。 UI と表記) に始り，8回のα崩壊と6回のβ崩壊を経て鉛の安定同位体である鉛 206 (ラジウムG ともいう。 RaG と表記) で終る。質量数は 4n＋2 ( n は正の整数) 。ラジウム 226はこの系列に属する。
