Umezu-Ho Yingqin Agreement

An agreement made in June 1935 between General Umezu Yoshijiro (1882-1949), commander of the North China Garrison Army, and He Yingqin, deputy chairman of the Beiping Branch of the Military Committee of the Chinese Nationalist Government. The agreement imposed three conditions on China: the withdrawal of Chinese troops from Hebei Province, the closure of Kuomintang organizations, and the prohibition of anti-Japanese activities, strengthening Japan's control over North China. 1935年６月華北駐屯軍司令官梅津美治郎〔1882-1949〕と中国国民政府軍事委員会北平(ペイピン)分会代理委員長の何応欽との間の協定。河北省内中国軍の撤退，国民党機関の閉鎖，排日活動禁止の３項を中国に押しつけ，日本の華北支配は強まった。
