...The rice paddy area around the west exit of Kasukabe Station was redeveloped in the 1960s, and the area has become home to the Onuma Sports Park, a shopping mall and high-rise apartment buildings, the city hall, and other public offices. The city has been selected by the national government as a model city for urban landscape formation.
