Inti Raymi - Inti Raymi

In the Inca ceremonies, the creator god, the sun, and lightning always held supreme authority. And every June, a great ceremony to the sun, called Inti-Raymi, was held. The radiance of the sun was equated with the radiance of gold, and the Temple of the Sun in Cuzco was also called the Coricancha, or Golden Enclosure, and its interior was decorated with various kinds of gold.
