Ingushetia Autonomous Oblast

...After revolution and civil war, the country was liberated by the Red Army in March 1920. On November 30, 1922, the Chechen Autonomous Oblast was formed, and on July 7, 1924, the Ingushetia Autonomous Oblast was formed. On January 15, 1934, the two autonomous oblasts were united, and on December 5, 1936, the country became an autonomous republic.
