Imasu-juku

Japanese: 今須宿 - いますじゅく
Imasu-juku

...The name of a place in Fuwa County, Mino Province (Gifu Prefecture). In the Middle Ages it was Imasu (Imasu) Township, in early modern times it was Imasu Village, Imasu-juku on the Nakasendo Road, and now it is a large area in Sekigahara Town. During the Muromachi period, the Nagae clan had influence in this area, and Shigekage built Myo-ji Temple for his mother's soul, and in 1442 (Kakitsu 2) Motokage and others donated a Buddhist field.
