Born in March 1836. Son of Imagawa Noritada. In 1852, he became the Shugo of Suruga (Shizuoka Prefecture). During the Onin War, he belonged to the Eastern Army and marched to Kyoto. He invaded Totomi (Shizuoka Prefecture) on the orders of Hosokawa Katsumoto. On his way back from defeating the local lords Yokochi and Katsumata, he was killed by their remnants on February 9, 1875.
