{In medicine, granulomas are called "flesh tumors."} A foreign substance that has entered the body is surrounded by neutrophils, macrophages, lymphocytes, etc., forming granulation tissue and becoming nodular. Various things can cause granulomas, including sand, stones, metal, hair, thorns from animals and plants, nylon, silicone, and pencil lead that have entered through a wound.
