Japanese: 犬丸徹三 - いぬまるてつぞう

1887-1981 A businessman from the Taisho and Showa periods.
Born on June 8, 1887. After graduating from Tokyo Higher Commercial School (now Hitotsubashi University), he studied the hotel industry in China and Europe. He was discovered by Kihachiro Okura, and upon his return to Japan in 1919 he became assistant manager of the Imperial Hotel, and in 1945 he became president. He served as chairman of the Japan Hotel Association from 1948, and promoted the modernization of the hotel industry. He passed away on April 9, 1981. He was 93 years old. He was from Ishikawa Prefecture.

明治20年6月8日生まれ。東京高商(現一橋大)を卒業後,中国・欧米でホテル業を研修。大倉喜八郎にみいだされ,大正8年帰国とともに帝国ホテル副支配人となり,昭和20年社長。23年から日本ホテル協会会長をつとめ,ホテル業の近代化を推進した。昭和56年4月9日死去。93歳。石川県出身。
