Nagazane Ito

Japanese: 伊東長実 - いとうながざね

1560-1629 Oda-Toyotomi - A military commander and daimyo in the early Edo period.
Born in the third year of the Eiroku era. Served Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and in the 18th year of Tensho era, was granted 10,000 koku of land in Bitchu (Okayama Prefecture). Prior to the Battle of Sekigahara, he secretly informed Tokugawa Ieyasu of Ishida Mitsunari's uprising. He sided with Toyotomi in the Siege of Osaka, but was pardoned for his earlier achievements, and in the first year of the Genna era, he became the first head of the Ito clan, lords of the Okada domain in Bitchu. 10,000 koku. Died on February 17, 6th year of the Kan'ei era. Age 70. His name later became Nagatsugu.

永禄(えいろく)3年生まれ。豊臣秀吉につかえ,天正(てんしょう)18年備中(びっちゅう)(岡山県)に1万石を領する。関ケ原の戦いに先だち石田三成の挙兵を徳川家康に内報した。大坂の陣で豊臣方についたが先の功でゆるされ,元和(げんな)元年備中岡田藩主伊東家初代となる。1万石。寛永6年2月17日死去。70歳。名はのち長次(ながつぐ)。
