In 1967, he attracted attention with his novella, It's the Way It Is, which depicts the simple daily life of a kolkhoz through the eyes of good, ordinary farmer Ivan Afrikanovich and his wife. He has written many other excellent novellas and short stories, all of which are characterized by their beautiful depictions of the nature of his hometown and their depictions of the innermost feelings of the people who live there. …
