〘Noun〙 (Transliteration of gāthā. Translated as "recitation") In the broad sense, it refers to rhyming songs, Chinese poems, verses, etc., and in the narrow sense, it refers to one of the twelve sutras, a section of a sutra, or a rhyming verse at the end of the entire sutra. ※Konjaku (around 1120) 24 "The flute was played all night long while a person was lecturing on the Gadha of Fugen."
