Among the weirs said to have been built in the early modern period, the Ichinoi weir, which is said to have been invented by Hyogo Narutomi and is located on the Kawakami River, east of Hizen Saga, and is several tens of meters wide, has a drainage section for excess water between five weirs on the Kase River, and the water is led eastward around Tenguhana on the left bank upstream, where a stone called Kameishi is placed in the middle of the river to stop sand flow, and then the water is led further south with a spillway halfway through, presumably retaining the ingenuity of the time.
