Born: Enkyo 2 (1745) [Died] Bunka 5 (1808) Kabuki actor. Stage name: Mikawaya. Commonly known as Meguro no Danzo. A disciple of Ichikawa Danzo III, he was a representative actor of the Kansei period (1789-1801). In 1773, he took the name Ichikawa Danzo IV. Small in stature, he excelled in somersaults, fighting moves, and quick costume changes, and was also known for his realistic direction.
