Abnormal drunkenness

Japanese: 異常酩酊 - いじょうめいてい
Abnormal drunkenness

...Acute alcohol poisoning generally refers to drunkenness (intoxication).
[drunkenness]
Intoxication can be divided into normal intoxication and abnormal intoxication. With normal intoxication, intoxication progresses stepwise according to the amount of alcohol consumed, leading to elation, followed by difficulty concentrating, ataxia, speech disorder, and eye movement disorder, and then sleep. The progression of intoxication is roughly parallel to the blood alcohol concentration.

From [Alcohol]

… Intoxication, if the level of intoxication is abnormal, may cause a loss or decrease of criminal responsibility in some cases. This is called abnormal intoxication as opposed to simple intoxication, and abnormal intoxication is further divided into complex intoxication accompanied by quantitative abnormalities and pathological intoxication accompanied by qualitative abnormalities. In general, the former is considered to be mental impairment (Article 39, Paragraph 2 of the Penal Code), and the latter is considered to be mental insanity (Article 39, Paragraph 1). …

From [Drunkenness]

...In other words, this is a kind of release caused by the paralysis of the intellectual brakes that normally function in everyday life, and not due to the stimulating effect of alcohol on the central nervous system.
[Types of intoxication and blood alcohol concentration]
Depending on the state of intoxication, it can be roughly divided into normal intoxication (also called simple intoxication or ordinary intoxication) and abnormal intoxication. Normal intoxication is a condition in which the intoxication progresses gradually as more alcohol is consumed, progressing from a mild loss of inhibitions to motor and speech disorders and then to sleep. Although there is a distinction between so-called "crying drunks" and "laughing drunks," normal intoxication refers to a condition in which the intoxication does not involve sudden excitement or loss of situational awareness, and the person is generally able to later recall the situation at the time of drinking.
