One method of measuring gas concentration is to take a certain amount of sample with a gas sampler equipped with a piston, send it into a glass tube filled with alternating gas detectors and adsorbents (silica gel particles), and compare the color change caused by the chemical reaction between the detectors and the gas contained in the sample with a standard color to determine the gas concentration in the sample. This thin glass tube filled with detectors and adsorbents and sealed at both ends is called a gas detector tube, and when in use, both ends are cut and the sample is sent through it.
