This artificial lake is located in the southeastern part of Toyama Prefecture, upstream of the Wada River, a tributary of the Jōganji River. It is a reservoir created by damming the Arimine Dam for power generation. It has an area of 5.1 square kilometers and a maximum storage capacity of 220 million cubic meters.
