Arras [river] - Arras

Japanese: アラス[川] - あらす
Arras [river] - Arras

[Nature, Geography]
Most of the country is a plateau with an elevation of 800 to 2000 meters, and the northeastern part is the Armenian Massif, formed by volcanic activity, and is known as an area with frequent earthquakes. This massif, centered on high mountains such as Mount Ararat (5165m), where Noah's Ark is said to have landed, and Mount Alagyoz (4090m), is the source of the Tigris, Euphrates, Aras (Arax), and Kura rivers, and large and small lakes such as Sevan, Van, and Urmia are scattered among the mountains. The climate is highly variable due to the complex topography, but it is generally classified into six types: (1) dry subtropical, (2) dry continental, (3) dry temperate, (4) temperate, (5) cold mountain, and (6) alpine.
