Scheer, B. Hrozny, J. Kohler, M. San Nicolo, A. Ungnad, FR Krauss and others. In addition to these codes, various knowledge about ancient laws can be obtained from the reform inscriptions of King Ur-Kagina (late 24th century BC), royal decrees from the Old Babylonian period, boundary stones (kudurru) from the Kassite period (15th century BC) and later, and textbooks for scribal schools, but the oldest surviving code is the Code of Ur-Nammu from the early 21st century BC. …
