…His successor, Tvrtko (1353-91), further expanded his territory, replacing the neighboring Serbian kingdom in decline as the most powerful state in the Balkans. But after Tovrtko's death, internal conflicts arose, and Hum was ruled by the powerful Stjepan Vukčić (1435-66).
