The thrust of the ramjet engine is much greater than that of the non-return valve, and the thrust and thermal efficiency of the non-return valve are not very high.

Both engines use the power generated by a gas turbine as shaft power, and their output per weight is more than twice that of a piston engine. In the case of a turboprop engine, thrust is obtained by driving a propeller with shaft power, and some thrust is also obtained from exhaust gas (Figure 5).
