Tripuri (English spelling)

...First it arose in Gujarat, and in the latter half of the 6th century it expanded into the Malwa region in the east, but was eventually destroyed by the Chalukya dynasty in the south. Then in the mid-9th century it established its capital in Tripuri in central India and dominated the Jabalpur region. It ruled for about 250 years while fighting with neighboring countries, and developed its own culture, including temple architecture. Around the same time, a small dynasty called the Kalachuri, with its capital at Sarayupāra, flourished in the Gorakhpur region in the north.
