Kaita [town] - Kaita
A town in Aki County in southern Hiroshima Prefecture. It occupies the alluvial plain at the mouth of the Seno River, east of Hiroshima City. Kaitaichi, in the center of the town, was a post station on the old Sanyo Highway and is the junction of the Sanyo Main Line and the Kure Line. There are chemical, canned food, steel, and automobile factories in the town. Many people commute to Hiroshima City. Area : 13.79 km2. Population: 28,475 (2010).
