Littorinidae

...They are resistant to dryness and can withstand high temperatures of up to 45°C. There are about 50 species of Littorinidae native to Japan, many of which live on rocks in the high tide zone. On the Pacific coast of Honshu (Kii Peninsula, etc.), in areas facing the open ocean, Nodilittorina pyramidalis is found at the highest point, followed by N. exigua and N. millegrana , and then N. littorinae is distributed in a band downwards.
