Maniu, I. (English spelling) ManiuI

...The lineage of fantasy fiction developed through the works of pre-war writers such as Gala Galaction (1879-1961), who was also an Orthodox priest, Vasile Voiculescu (1884-1963), Pavel Dan (1907-31), the religious scholar Eliade, who was active abroad after World War II, and the science fiction writers Vladimir Colin (1921-91) and Ştefan Bǎnulescu (1929- ). In the 20th century, Alges pioneered an uncharted territory with his avant-garde poetry, and other poets who created their own unique poetic worlds included philosopher and poet L. Braga, impressionist-leaning George Bacovia (1881-1957), mathematician and poet Ion Barbu (1895-1961), Adrian Maniu (1891-1968), famous for his prose poetry, and avant-garde Urmuz (real name Dimitrie Ionescu-Buzǎu, 1883-1923), as well as Alexandru Philippide (1900-79) and Ion Pillat (1891-1945).
