...His Cubism was initially a futurist take on F. Léger's circularism, but in 1913, influenced by analytical cubism and Russian Futurist poetry, he produced the work "The Bull and the Violin," which he called "super-semantic realism" or "alogism" related to linguistic images. His bold experiments continued, and in the same year he came up with the idea of using geometric forms as pictorial symbols for the backdrop of Mikhail Vasilievich Matyushin's (1861-1934) opera "Conquest of the Sun." He then painted these as "Suprematist" works, and in 1915 he exhibited 35 pieces at once in Petrograd.
