Mosa

…Mosan is an adjective derived from the Meuse River (formerly Mosa River), and Mosan art refers to medieval art that flourished in the area from the Meuse River basin to the Rhine River basin, which was formerly the Archdiocese of Liège. This area had already flourished as one of the centers of art since the end of the Carolingian dynasty, and produced excellent works in the fields of ivory carving and manuscript painting (The Bible of Floreffe, British Museum).
