MOT - MOT, More
A field of study called "Management of Technology." It attracted attention in the United States in the 1980s as an evolved version of the MBA, based on the idea that to manage technology-based companies such as manufacturers and IT companies, one needs to understand both technology and management, and to have an innovation strategy that combines the two. It is aimed at liberal arts-based business people, engineers, and researchers involved in management and strategy planning at technology-based companies, as well as potential entrepreneurs aiming to start technology-based companies. The term "technology" covers a wide range of fields, including IT, biotechnology, and nanotechnology. In Japan, it is offered at universities across the country, including Waseda University and Shibaura Institute of Technology.
