Mṛgadāva (English spelling) Mrgadava

…A garden in the ancient Indian state of Kashi, where the Buddha gave his first sermon (first turning of the wheel of the Dharma) after attaining enlightenment. A Chinese translation of the Sanskrit Mṛgadāva (Pali: Migadaya). It corresponds to present-day Sarnath (meaning "king of the deer").
