Muntenia

...The area is about 76,160 km2. The name Wallachia was mainly used by foreigners, and Romanians now divide it into the Muntenia and Oltenia regions, separated by the Olt River, but historically it has been called Tara Româneascǎ (meaning "Land of the Romans"). In the Middle Ages, the Slavs who lived around here called the descendants of the Dacian Romans and who spoke Romance languages ​​Vlah, Valah, and so the term Wallachia, meaning "Land of the Vlahs," was born, and this word spread to the Byzantine Empire and Western Europe.
