The period of Expressionism in literature can be considered to cover the entire 1910s, but it is especially evident from 1910, when poet G. Heim appeared in the cabaret of the Berlin Expressionist group Der Neue Club, to 1914, when World War I broke out, and most of his major works were published during this period. Most of the young poets who led Expressionism at the time were born in the 1880s, a generation that grew up experiencing the rapid development of urban culture at the turn of the century and the resulting social distortions, and they had a premonition that the world would soon explode due to increasing contradictions.
