Octobrachiata

Japanese: Octobrachiata
Octobrachiata

…A general term for mollusks belonging to the order Octobrachiata of the class Cephalopoda. They are found from the intertidal zone to the deep sea zone, and it is thought that there are about 200 to 250 species in the world, mainly from the family Octopidae. However, because they lack the hard tissues that characterize them, classification has not been established, and the exact number of species is unknown.
