In ancient times, it was called phantasia in Greek and Latin, which also included delusions and hallucinations. Leibniz, Nietzsche, and Schopenhauer viewed fantasy as something that brings the unconscious into the conscious, while F. Brentano and Husserl focused on the dynamic nature of fantasy. …
