Phillips, AB (English spelling) PhillipsAB

...a curve that shows a negative correlation between the rate of inflation and the unemployment rate. It is named after its discoverer, Alban William Phillips (1914-75). In 1958, based on long-term data from the UK from 1861 to 1957, Phillips showed that in the UK, the higher the rate of increase in money wages, the lower the unemployment rate, and vice versa, the higher the unemployment rate, as shown by a curve (see figure), and that the position and shape of this curve remained almost stable over this period.
