…In Japan, on August 12, 1889, Ichisuke Fujioka was the first to produce 12 domestic carbon light bulbs made from carbonized bamboo in the Tokyo Electric Light Company's light bulb testing room. The short lifespan was overcome in 1908 with the invention of the drawn-wire tungsten light bulb by American W. Coolidge, and in 1909, the invention of the nitrogen gas-filled light bulb by American I. Langmuir reduced the evaporation of tungsten. In 1921, Junichi Miura invented the double-coil light bulb, which increased efficiency by nearly 20%. In 1925, Tachizo Fuwa and Marvin Pipkin of the United States each invented a light bulb with a frosted interior, which helped prevent glare. In 1949, Pipkin invented the silica-coated light bulb, which further diffused light and, together with the double coil, came to be widely used in homes around the world. …

…日本では89年8月12日，藤岡市助が東京電灯株式会社の電球試験室で，マダケを炭化した国産炭素電球12個を製作したのが最初である。短寿命の克服は1908年，アメリカのW.クーリッジによる引線タングステン電球の発明があり，09年，アメリカのI.ラングミュアによる窒素ガス入り電球の発明でタングステンの蒸発が抑えられ，21年の三浦順一による二重コイル電球の発明は効率を2割近く高めることができ，さらに25年不破橘三およびアメリカのピプキンMarvin Pipkinがそれぞれ別個に内面つや消し電球を発明して，グレアの防止に役だった。49年，ピプキンはシリカ塗装電球を発明して，さらに拡散光が得られ，二重コイルとともに広く世界の家庭に普及するに至っている。…
