The Post-Dispatch

Japanese: 《The Post-Dispatch》(英語表記)ThePostDispatch
The Post-Dispatch

In 1968, he joined the German newspaper "Vestriche Post" in St. Louis as a reporter, exposing corruption in the city government and reporting interesting news. In 1978, he bought the bankrupt St. Louis Dispatch, which was being auctioned off, and merged it with the St. Louis Post, run by JA Dillon, to edit and manage the evening paper "The Post-Dispatch." As an ally of the people, he repeatedly campaigned against corruption and the wrongdoings of large corporations, and tried new journalistic methods, making it the city's leading newspaper. In 1983, he bought the New York newspaper "The World" from J. Gould for $346,000, and built a newspaper with a huge circulation and influence by attacking the tyranny of large corporations such as Morgan and by campaigning for a $100,000 fund to build a pedestal for the Statue of Liberty, which marked the beginning of a major change in the newspaper structure throughout the United States.
