Jefara (English spelling)

Japanese: Jefāra(英語表記)Jefara
Jefara (English spelling)

...Dry, hot, sandy winds called Giblī blow from the Sahara in the south all year round, but when the moist Mediterranean air brings rain from October to April of the following year, it becomes a major barley-producing area, and grass grows on the southern side of the mountains, turning them into pastureland, and sheep and camels that used to live in the watering places on the northern side of the mountains move south. On the other hand, the Jefāra plain in Tripolitania in the west and the northern slope of Jabal Nafūsa, which consists of low sand dunes and limestone hills behind it, have been granaries since ancient times, cultivating grains, olives, grapes, and other fruits. When these coastal plains and military tombs end, the low-lying Sahara Desert spreads across the southern region, and its southern end hits the Tibesti Mountains at an altitude of about 1,500 meters.
