…Axes with a rim height of 1-2 mm are called low-rimmed axes, and those with a rim height of 3-10 mm are called high-rimmed axes, but they are further divided according to the shape of the cutting edge. Among low-rimmed axes, those with short cutting edges are called Salez type, those with long cutting edges are called Neyruz type, and those with thicker blades are called Armorique type. All of these types were distributed in northern Italy, Switzerland, Austria, southern Germany, Czechoslovakia, and Spain from the end of the Early Bronze Age onwards. …
