Sandrokottos

…His origins are not consistent among the legends, with Hindu sources saying he was of Shudra descent, while Buddhist sources say he was of Kshatriya descent. Greek sources call him Sandrokottos, and say he was of humble origin. Around 317 BCE, he raised an army on the borders of Magadha, overthrew the Nanda dynasty, and founded the dynasty.
