This is a fishery whose main purpose is to harvest seaweed, but for the purposes of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Statistics, submersible fisheries are excluded even if they are fisheries that harvest algae. Since the target is algae up to a depth of about 20m, the scale of the fishery is small, and most operations are carried out by fishing boats of less than 3 tons.
