sling

...Spherical, egg-shaped, or spindle-shaped bullets (2-6cm in diameter, weighing 10-150g) made of stone, earth (clay kneaded with water and dried or fired), or occasionally lead. To fire them, a sling or a stick with a sling is used. The sling is made of flexible material such as wool, leather, or vegetable fiber, and is just over 1m long. The sling is folded twice with the bullet placed on the wide seat in the center. If there is a finger loop at one end, the little finger is placed on it, and if there is no loop, one end is held between the little finger and ring finger, and the other end is held between the thumb and index finger.
