...Both adults and larvae of the Trogositidae family are primarily insectivorous. Their English names are bark-gnawing beetle and grain-gnawing beetle. The larvae of the large red beetle, Temnochila japonica , feed on bark beetles and other insects under the bark of dead pine trees.
