Folidol

It was imported to Japan by Bayer in 1951 under the brand name Folidol and used in large quantities, but it had a very high acute toxicity to humans and animals ( _LD50 = 6mg/kg (mouse, oral)). Furthermore, since subsequent research and development led to the development of a series of low-toxicity organophosphate esters, its production in Japan was discontinued in 1969 and its use was banned in 1971.
