It has long limbs and is similar to the lynx, but has short hair and no whiskers. Its tail is short and less than half the length of its body. The upper surface of its body is a uniform light sandy or reddish brown color with no markings. The underside of its body is white, with brown spots on the chest and inside of its limbs.
