Dilemma

…It is also called a dilemma. A concept that appears in traditional formal logic. Originally, it was a method of inferring a consequent from two hypothetical propositions that have a common consequent and the disjunction of their two antecedents. However, it can also be used to extend this inference by taking a different consequent or by making one of the premises a disjunction of the negation of each consequent rather than a disjunction of the consequent.
