Commando

Japanese: commando
Commando

...Specially trained small units infiltrate the enemy's sphere of influence and carry out surprise attacks such as intelligence gathering, rear disruption, destruction of facilities, pacifying residents, kidnapping important people, and rescuing personnel. Units engaged in such actions are generally called special forces. Commando was not originally a general term for special forces, but was a name given to Boer farmers who carried out surprise attacks with a small number of troops during the Boer War and caused trouble for the British Army. In honor of this, immediately after the Dunkirk evacuation on June 4, 1940, at the request of Prime Minister Churchill, the British Army formed a unit to carry out surprise attacks with a small number of lightly equipped troops, named them commandos, and launched a surprise attack on the German forces deployed on the continental coast opposite.
