Cassia bark

...The leaves also produce cassia leaf oil, similar to clove oil, which is used as a fragrance and medicine. Good quality cassia bark is also obtained from cassia ( C. cassia Bl.), found in southern China and Indochina, and is often used in herbal medicines. In China, cassia twigs (branches with a diameter of less than 1 cm) and cassia (thick bark) were used, but in Japan, no distinction is made and the relatively thin bark is referred to as cassia bark.
