Abū Sa'id b. Abī al-Khayr (English spelling) Abu Said b Abial Khayr

...The rhyme used was mainly a variation of the hazazi musammam, combining long and short syllables. Ruba'i was a form used by almost all Persian poets, and appears frequently in Persian literature from the 10th century onwards. The most famous Ruba'i poets are Abū Sa'īd b.Abī al-Khayr (967-1049), Bābā Ṭāhir (year of birth and death unknown, 11th century), Ansāri al-Anṣārī (1005-89) and Umar Khayyām. The first three poets were mystics and used this form to express mystical ideas, but Umar Khayyām used it to write about fate, wine, beautiful women, etc.
